We’re Celebrating! Benefacto 1500 Volunteer CSR Event

Ben Darlington | 2 November 15

Benefacto has had over 1500 volunteers devote more that 2,660 days to brilliant causes since we started three years ago, so on November 17 from 6.30pm, we’re having a party to celebrate! There’ll be drinks, a chance to network ,and a panel discussion on ‘The Secret to Meaningful Corporate Volunteering.’

When: Tuesday 17 November, from 6.30pm

Where: CMS Law, 78 Cannon Street

Since 2012 we’ve been putting committed corporate staff with amazing local organisations such as Vauxhall Food Bank, Dress for Success and The Bike Project, and watched how both sides have benefitted. We’ve loved hearing employees talk about using skills that they didn’t know they had and the difference they’ve made and felt spectacularly proud at how much the charities have benefited from getting much-needed help in delivering their services.

The event is kindly being hosted by one of our partners, CMS Law. There’ll be food, drinks, and a chance to mingle with a mix of business leaders, CSR practitioners and charity representatives.

As the centrepiece of the night, we’re hosting a panel on ‘The Secret to Meaningful Corporate Volunteering’ hosted by Tom Levitt of Sector4 Focus. Tom is a specialist in volunteering and community development and has spent his career work in to help business and charities work more closely together in the public interest, so its set to be an exciting debate. Our panel of experts includes Sophie Breuil, an experienced CSR practitioner and CSR Executive at CMS,Fran Sallas of DMGT, and Dr Maria Lenn, founder of the fantastic charity Suited and Booted.

We hope the night will be not only a celebration, but also an evening of thought-provoking debate on employee volunteering best practice. Paid volunteering leave is an increasingly hot topic and we want to continue providing excellent opportunities for corporates that have a real impact on charities and their service users. We can’t wait to see you there!
